The event aims to discuss how to harness economic progress while navigating cyclical changes in the economy.
The event began with a welcome speech from Sarita Singh, Stripe’s Managing Director, South East Asia. She shared that even in today’s challenging times, there is a huge opportunity to participate in the digital economy in Asia. And that Asia is leading the way in digital GDP growth.
Next up is a fireside chat with Andrea Phua (Director, Industry, Ministry of Communications and Information), who shared that it’s important for policy makers, Tech firms and the user community to work together to build a scalable partnership ecosystem.

Stripe also brought forth speakers from their team, Valerie Wagoner (Head of Product, APAC), who discussed how in these challenging times you can do more with less by implementing Stripe’s easy no code or less code payment solutions.
From the Stripe user community, Vishal Salunkhe (Vice President, Regional Category Strategy & Operations, Carousell), shared how Carousell has successfully moved with the times and stayed competitive in the commerce industry, amidst fast changing consumer behaviour.
